“Wakey” was a term given to the last day of a soldiers Vietnam tour.
The repercussions of war are limitless, many of our soldiers are fighting an ongoing silent battle in their minds, many continue “Waiting for Wakey”.

“Diary of Wounds” consists of 365 tissues recording information gained through discussions with Vietnam Veterans, researched information and personal experiences. The concept of printing on tissues came from a discussion with my mother, I remember her exact words “I don’t know how many boxes of tissues I cried while Dad was in Vietnam, and there would be even more since he returned home”.
